(5-Br-PAPS) Chromogenic method
For the Quantitative Determination of zinc in
Serum, Plasma or Urine
Principle
In this procedure is a direct colorimetric assay kit without
Deproteinization of the sample. At alkaline pH, in a buffered
media, zinc reacts with the specific complex, forms a stable
colored complex. The color intensity is proportional to the
amount of zinc present in the sample.
Kit contents
Chelate color (5-Br-PAPS) 2×25 mL
Zinc Standard (200 μg/dL ) 1× 5 mL
Expiration date and preservation conditions
Expiration: 1 year from the date of manufacture.
Storage conditions: Store at 2-8°C. Don’t freeze.
(Xylidyl Blue) Chromogenic method
For the Quantitative Determination of Magnesium in
Serum, Plasma or Urine
Principle
In this procedure magnesium and Xylidyl Blue combine under alkaline
conditions to form a water soluble red-purple chelate with an absorption
maximum at 520 nm. Interference from calcium is prevented by the presence of GEDTA (Glycoletherdiamine-N, N, N'. N' - tetra acetic acid) which completely masks a similar colored calcium chelate. The magnesium chelate color is stable, and the assay is not subject to interference from other inorganic ions.
Kit contents
Chelate color (Xylidyl Blue) 2×25 mL
Magnesium Standard (2.0 mg/dL) 1× 5 mL
Expiration date and preservation conditions
Expiration: 1 year from the date of manufacture.
Storage conditions: Store at 2-8°C. Don’t freeze.
